Position selection and placement:
When choosing a location for your camera, you should avoid locations near high-voltage cables.
A stable bracket should be used to ensure the stability of the camera, and at the same time, the installation location should be free from external interference and damage, and not interfere with the operation of surrounding equipment or personnel activities.
Make sure the location is not obstructed by road signs, tree branches, etc.
To prevent the equipment from becoming flooded, do not select low ground.
OHWOAI's home wireless solar-powered, battery-powered and POE-powered security cameras are smartphone-linked, with IP67 waterproof and dustproof specifications, and have a strong waterproof level, so they will not be adversely affected by bad weather such as rain or wind. They can be installed both indoors and outdoors. OHWOAI's home wireless solar-powered, battery-powered and POE-powered security cameras can be expanded to eight cameras. OHWOAI's home wireless solar-powered, battery-powered and POE-powered security cameras are equipped with remote monitoring and alarms, so you don't have to worry anywhere!
For outdoor cameras, lightning protection and grounding devices must be set up.
Wiring Requirements:
Signal transmission lines must be at least 450 mm away from high-voltage equipment and cables.
High-voltage cables and low-voltage cables cannot be bundled together.
Outdoor cabling should be routed under the roof whenever possible.
In open areas, wiring should be done in sealed steel pipes with proper earthing and overhead wiring prohibited.
Waterproof requirements:
If you use an L-pole to set up the stand, the horizontal bar should be angled upwards to prevent rainwater from flowing back over the top of the camera and ensure a seal on the horizontal bar.
Pay attention to the waterproof connection terminals to prevent image abnormalities caused by oxidation. When installing on a wall, the camera output port that is wired from the side should be placed facing downwards, and the power adapter should be installed in a protective box.
When installing the dome camera, be careful to handle the waterproof part of the output line so as not to loosen it, which may lead to fraying or damage to the cable. When installing the spiral bracket, do not connect the wiring first and then rotate it to avoid signal abnormalities.
Lightning protection and grounding:
To ensure the reliability and durability of the front-end equipment, all equipment, including the camera, standoffs, and front-end cabinets, must be grounded.
If the camera is mounted on a concrete pillar or wall, it needs to be grounded nearby. If the camera is mounted on a metal pole and the camera and the metal pole have good conductivity, it can be grounded using the metal pole.
In areas subject to strong lightning storms or highly sensitive voltage areas (such as high-voltage substations), protective measures such as the installation of additional high-power lightning arresters and lightning rods must be taken.
OHWOAI strives to provide high quality outdoor surveillance solutions, ensure the stability and performance of our equipment, and meet safety requirements. Our installation and maintenance team installs our equipment to the highest standards and adheres to all safety regulations.
