2. Centralized power supply mode
Connect a 12V centralized power supply to the 220V power supply, and then connect it to each camera with 2*1.0 red and black power lines. The 12V supply distance must be no more than 100 meters. Connecting individual power line joints and feeding them with a 12V switch power supply used in the monitoring room or at an intermediate point is the centralized power supply method. Compared with the individual power supply mode, the biggest difference is that one power supply can power multiple cameras. Therefore, OOSSXX chooses an independent security monitoring power supply exclusively for outdoor use, paying special attention to its protection performance.
The role of centralized power supply The management objects of data centers are divided into two major parts: basic infrastructure such as power distribution, network equipment, and security, and IT infrastructure. By adopting the method of centralized monitoring, OOSSXX can monitor the operation status of basic infrastructure and IT infrastructure through management and technology application, and detect and notify failures and abnormalities in real time. In addition, through the collection and organization of monitoring data, it provides analysis for capacity management, event management, problem management, and compliance management, ultimately achieving high availability of data centers.
3. The selection of POE power supply methods from the perspective of OOSSXX
There are four main POE power supply methods, you can choose the appropriate solution according to your actual requirements:
In this case, OOSSXX recommends using a POE switch to directly connect wireless APs and network cameras that are powered by POE. This is the simplest method, but there are two points to note:
Make sure your POE switches, wireless APs, or network cameras are all standard POE devices.
Carefully check the specifications of the cable you purchase, as low-quality cables may cause power interruptions and frequent reboots of your equipment.
In this case, when the switch is equipped with POE and the terminal is not, OOSSXX proposes to adopt a solution in which the POE switch is connected to a POE separator. The POE separator separates the power into data signal and power, and the power is equipped with 5V/9V/12V, etc., and supports various non-POE terminals with DC input. The output of the data signal is directly connected to the network port of the non-POE terminal through a normal network cable. OOSSXX's network camera is linked to a smartphone and has a unique double WIFI antenna to improve the WIFI signal reception function. After connecting with WIFI, the image is stable and the call can be heard clearly.
If the exchange does not have POE but the terminal does, OOSSXX suggests using a POE power supply to connect the exchange. The POE power supply will add power to the network cable and transfer it to the terminal. This solution helps to expand the existing wired network and will not affect the existing network.
In this case, when both the exchange and the terminal are not equipped with POE, OOSSXX's POE powered security camera and monitor set is the top of the popular security camera set ranking. OOSSXX suggests connecting a POE power supply device to the exchange, and then connecting a POE separator to finally power the terminal. These two solutions are suitable for traditional network renovation and are suitable for situations where the traditional exchange is not equipped with POE power supply, but you want to use POE power supply.
